Fostering Great Ideas (FGI) is headquartered here in South Carolina and exists to restore dignity and increase stability for children and families impacted by foster care. Many members of FGI's team have lived experience — they grew up in foster care or served as foster parents — and they carry that understanding into their daily work.
What Your Purchase Helps Fund
Keeping Siblings Connected
FGI's Sib-Link® program makes it possible for brothers and sisters separated in foster care to regularly spend time together — in person and virtually — so those lifelong bonds stay strong.
Mentoring and Life Navigation
Through Aspire™ and Life Support®, youth and young adults receive one-on-one mentoring and practical help (from academics to life skills) so they can pursue college, career, and independence with confidence.
Community-Wide Support
FGI provides training and resources that equip caregivers, advocates, and volunteers to better support children in care.
